ABOUT AICHAKU MBTI

About this project

Aichaku MBTI is an independent project for reflection on personality and relationships. We create the questions, type descriptions and word cards. We use AI to assist localization; these editions have not undergone cross-language psychometric validation or independent professional review.

A starting point for understanding yourself

The 46 questions use seven response options. Four personality axes and self/other-related answers determine the 16 × 4 categories, with the Japanese edition’s response-tendency adjustment. Six additional items concern receiving support, offering support and making decisions. They enter the overall response-tendency adjustment, so they can indirectly affect the type code. Category thresholds are editorial rules, not clinical cutoffs or population statistics.

This is not the official MBTI® assessment, a clinical diagnosis, or a validated psychological scale. Results describe this response pattern, not fixed facts about you. The translations have not been validated across languages. MBTI® belongs to its rights holders; this independent project is not affiliated with the official assessment provider.

Background reading on adult attachment and relationship-specific measurement is available from researcher R. Chris Fraley at the University of Illinois. Our quiz does not reproduce or claim to be the ECR-R or ECR-RS instrument.
