About the Attachment MBTI editorial team
Attachment MBTI Editorial is the editorial name under which this site's articles are written, its quizzes designed, its anonymised data aggregated and its corrections made after publication. The site's operator and editor in charge is Ryoya Oogane. Final decisions about what is published, and responsibility for it, rest with the operator and editor in charge.
This site is not a medical institution, a university, The Myers-Briggs Company, or an official MBTI certification body. Editorial articles are reviewed by Ryoya Oogane, a certified clinical psychologist (the reviewer and the scope of the review). At the end of each article, "About this article" shows writing and editing separately from review. The review is done by the operator and editor in charge themselves; it does not amount to certification by a third-party body, nor to any demonstration that the quiz is accurate.
The editorial process before publication
- Define the purpose: we decide what a page is for, so that entertainment, self-understanding, an introduction to research and a self-check do not get confused with one another.
- Check the sources: we give priority to peer-reviewed papers, academic books, public bodies, and primary information from rights holders or from the people themselves.
- Separate fact from interpretation: we distinguish what research has established, what this site's own aggregation shows, and what the editorial team expects or interprets.
- Check for safety: we check that there is no assertion of a diagnosis or a treatment, no estimate of a real person's health, and nothing steering a reader towards unsafe self-care.
- Update after publication: where there is a substantiated correction, new primary information, or a change in how we aggregate, we consider correcting, annotating or unpublishing.
The scope and the limits of our expertise
What the editorial team does is organise attachment research, personality psychology and publicly available information for a general reader, and turn it into this site's own quizzes and analysis. It does not diagnose individuals, treat them, prescribe medication, handle emergencies or make legal determinations.
In articles touching on psychology or health, we keep the scope to general information and to low-risk ways of reflecting on yourself. Content that needs professional judgement — symptoms, development, trauma, sleep, eating, treatments — may be withheld from search until the primary sources have been checked and any necessary review has been completed.
Use of generative AI
Generative AI may be used as an aid for outlines, candidate wordings, writing code and mechanical checks. It is not our policy to publish AI output as it stands: a person checks the purpose of the page, the facts, the sources, how strongly anything is asserted, and the handling of rights and privacy. Responsibility for what is published is never transferred to an AI or to an outside tool.
Corrections and contact
If you find an error, information that has gone out of date, a mismatch with the source, or a concern about rights or privacy, please attach the URL, the passage in question and any material we can check, and Contact. We will look at it and decide whether to correct it, annotate it, withhold it from search or unpublish it.
The theoretical basis of the quizzes, the references and how the data is handled are published at How the quizzes work, and our editorial policy. Articles that have actually been checked by a qualified reviewer, and who checked them, are listed at About our reviewers.
