ABOUT THIS QUIZ
Using character profile analyses as the comparison points
This quiz compares your answers with the analysis values used in this site's 12 character profiles. Those values are interpretations of the story, not official personality settings.
How the Kingdom Hearts quiz finds a match
The questions explore reactions to pressure and relationships through situations such as a closed route, an unanswered message or needing a companion's help. They use the story's world to consider openness and support, rather than measuring Keyblade ability.
Answers to four-option questions are converted to a 0–100 scale across seven axes: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, emotional sensitivity, attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance.
You can answer without having played Kingdom Hearts. Fourteen questions produce seven-axis scores, which are compared with 12 profiles inferred from the characters' actions and words. The match uses the total gap across all seven axes, rather than one impression. Results show the top three matches and a chart of similarities and differences.
Kingdom Hearts and attachment styles
Memory, hearts and connection are important themes in Kingdom Hearts. Changes in memory or identity, and connections with other hearts, invite reflection on selfhood and belonging. This site uses attachment concepts as a lens on those relationships, without treating fantasy settings as psychological evidence.
The friendship between Roxas, Xion and Axel explores identity, autonomy and loss in different ways. Xion is a replica, so all three should not be described as Nobodies. The story also develops beyond the claim that they lack hearts. This reading focuses on their relationships rather than reducing them to an absence of emotion.

How attachment patterns can appear in relationships
The four patterns used here can offer one perspective on dating and close relationships. These articles explore the ideas further; a type cannot predict everything an individual will do.
How We Interpreted Three Representative Characters
The three examples below explain how this site interprets attachment tendencies from character portrayals. Your answers are compared with those inferred values. This is an entertainment framework, not a validated psychological assessment.
Sora Secure
Sora approaches people in unfamiliar worlds and often believes reunion remains possible. This suggests trust in connection within the quiz's secure reading, without implying that he has never been hurt or shaken.
Riku Fearful-avoidant
Riku has hidden his circumstances while helping friends from a distance. This tension between protection and closeness informs the fearful-avoidant interpretation, alongside his growth towards accepting support and travelling with others again.
Xion Fearful-avoidant
Under others' control, Xion faces difficult choices about herself and her companions. Her story can prompt reflection on self-blame and sacrifice. It does not make a particular attachment tendency dangerous or suggest she is less deserving of existence and love.

How to Interpret Your Result
The match percentage is this site's measure of the distance between inferred character values and your answers. It does not assess Keyblade ability and is not an official character setting, MBTI certification or medical diagnosis. Matching Sora does not make you superior; matching Xehanort does not make you a bad person.
The quiz compares seven-axis gaps without favouring leads such as Sora or Riku, so a supporting character or antagonist can rank first. A result offers a perspective on your tendencies, not a moral judgement. For more situations exploring the same dimensions, continue to the 46-question, 64-type quiz.

FAQ
Is the Kingdom Hearts quiz free?
All 14 questions are free, with no account or email required. Results include a match among 12 characters, a travelling companion, a magic match and this site's inferred MBTI and attachment tendencies.
Is this an official quiz?
No. This is an independently created, unofficial fan quiz based on the games. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Disney or SQUARE ENIX. Scene images illustrate the quiz's atmosphere rather than official character settings.
How are the companion and magic chosen?
No extra questions are needed. Both use the same seven axes: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, emotional fluctuations, attachment anxiety and avoidance of closeness. Companions use summed squared distances from eight preset profiles. Magic checks special conditions for Ultima, Holy and Blizzard first, then uses the highest Big Five axis. These are this site's entertainment rules, not official game mechanics.
Why are there only 14 questions?
This short introductory quiz uses two questions for each of seven axes. The 46-question, 64-type quiz explores more situations if you want to continue. More questions do not establish clinical accuracy; both are intended for entertainment and reflection.
Is this quiz connected to the animated series?
An August 2026 SQUARE ENIX announcement noted that an original animated series was in development. This quiz remains based on the games' actions and dialogue; it is not an official collaboration or promotion for the series. Future portrayals should be assessed from released material.
